- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I am shocked! I never would have expected such gouging from a major chain like Rite Aid. I needed 8 Duracel 76A batteries and went to Staples and purchased the 6 they had for $1.69 each. Then I went across the street to Rite Aid for the additional 2 that I needed -- THEY CHARGED $4.29 EACH FOR THE IDENTICAL BATTERY! Thats 2.5x the Staples regular price! This kind of a difference can only be explained by price gouging. These are considered "medical" batteries and are also used in calculators and diagnostic tools, so they're comparatively popular. Thus there is no reason to have that kind of a difference. I will be very careful of what I purchase from Rite Aid from now on.October 10, 2017by A Google User
